Troy Woman Killed in Two-Car Crash

A 67-year-old woman from Troy was killed in a car accident Friday evening in Madison County, according to authorities. Kathleen E. Milton was driving a Chevrolet HHR on Illinois 140 near Meadowbrook when her vehicle was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Lumina driven by Kimberly Braun, 34.
According to Illinois State Police, both drivers were heading east, and Braun told police that Milton stopped suddenly in the road. Braun said she did not have time to stop and rear-ended Milton’s HHR.
Braun’s car went into a ditch, through a fence, and rolled over. She suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital. A 7-year-old boy in Braun’s car also suffered injuries.
