Funeral arrangements are now pending for an off-duty Pontiac police officer who was killed in a car accident Wednesday night. According to police, Casey Kohlmeier, 29, and his police dog Drago were killed when the marked vehicle was struck while in the median of Interstate 55.

Kohlmeier had been with the Pontiac Police Department for six years and was assigned to the Livingston County Pro-Active Unit. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
