One Injured in 1-64 Accident

An Evansville truck driver was injured on Saturday in a crash on eastbound 1-64 in Wayne County. According to Illinois State Police, the driver of the 2003 Freightliner Sprinter Van, Donald Hoffman, 67, was driving eastbound near mile post 103 1/2 around 3:30 pm when he left the north side of the road and hit a tree.
Hoffman was taken to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for his injuries. He was wearing a seat belt. According to Illinois State Police, the truck received major damage.
