Multi-Car Accident at O’Hare Leaves 1 Dead

One person was killed in a crash at O’Hare International Airport at Higgins Road near Mannheim early Friday morning. Police identified the victim as Rusty Carpenter, 37.
A spokesperson for the airport said there was no breach in security, but a car crashed through the protective fence close to the runway. Rosemont police blocked off the area. According to police, one driver lost control and three other vehicles became involved in the accident. The conditions of the other people involved are still unknown.
