In January 2013, a missing elderly man was found dead near his adult care home in southwest Portland, Oregon. Deputies sent out an alert on Brant Keller, 69, on the night of Tuesday, January 22nd; he had last been seen around 5 in the evening. Staff at his adult care home called the police to report that a resident had walked away, and they could not find him.

On Thursday afternoon, Koller’s body was found in a backyard not far from the adult home. Deputies reported that Koller had severe dementia, and had not been dressed for cold weather; other details were not immediately available.
