A driver was airlifted to a hospital in Peoria after hitting a central Illinois school bus carrying over two dozen kids. According to police, the 28-year-old driver was in critical condition after the accident on Thursday afternoon near San Jose.

The car wedged under the rear of the school bus, which had stopped to drop off children. None of the 25 children on board, ranging from 5 to 18 years old, were injured. The accident is still under investigation.
