Authorities are still investigating the fatal accident near Litchfield that left a woman and her two children dead. According to Illinois State Police, the stalled or slow-moving car was rear-ended Friday by a cargo van on I-55. The victims were identified as Alea Shannon, 27, Alfredo McGee Jr, 8, and Armondo McGee, 2. All three died at the scene. Other passengers in the vehicle, a man and two other children, were hospitalized.
