A man was found dead following a one-car accident Sunday morning on Hickory Point Road. His name is being withheld until relatives are notified, but he was local, according to Woodford County Deputy Coroner Jeffrey Price.

Police received a call of a rolled-over vehicle near Illinois Route 116 on Hickory Point Road. An initial search failed to find the driver’s body. At 10:30 am, a relative of the driver found his body about 50 feet from the vehicle in a ravine between cornfields. Police said the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
