A teenager was killed after a fatal car crash in Peoria, which happened at 10 am on Sunday, December 29 at the intersection of I-474 and I-74. A pickup with five occupants lost control on the ice, crashing into another vehicle and forcing both vehicles off the road and into a guardrail.

16-year-old Brooklyn Armstrong of Carlinville was ejected from the pickup and pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital. No other injuries were life-threatening, and no one in the pickup was wearing a seat belt.
