Advice to law students or new lawyers

For law students looking to get into plaintiff’s work I advise them to do it for the right reasons, to help people. Our personal injury clients are in pain, either physically or emotionally, and they rely on us for everything, from how to resolve their property damage claim, to where they can get treatment without health insurance. There will be cases with significant damages and weak liability. There will be cases you’ll work on for years and lose at trial. It is not an easy job, but it can be the most rewarding career. At the end of the day, you help someone get back on their feet and change their life.
