A woman from Wood River passed away Saturday at a hospital two months after she sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash that killed her husband. Charges have already been filed against the driver that caused the accident, according to police. Full autopsy results are still pending as to the official cause of death for Lora F Wright, 63, who died at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.

Wright was the passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband, Gary Wright, 66, when it hit a car on September 15. He died at Alton Memorial Hospital. Jeffrey A Rynders, 25, was driving the car. Rynders was charged after the accident with aggravated driving under the influence causing death, aggravated driving under the influence, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, Rynders was driving westbound on Landmarks Boulevard and turned left, striking the motorcycle. Police said he attempted to flee but was stopped by witnesses to the accident.
