Victims of the fatal crash in Glenview on Tuesday were mourned on Thursday but fellow employees. At least two of the three victims worked at San Soo Gab San Korean BBQ in Chicago, which posted a message on its Facebook page about the accident “Please give your prayers to our two employees who passed away yesterday in the horrific garbage truck accident in Glenview. Pray for them and their families,” the restaurant posted on Wednesday.

An employee said that the son and daughter of those killed were on their way to the US from Korea. The accident occurred about 12:45 pm on Tuesday when a car collided with a village of Skokie garbage truck at Harrison Street and Harlem Avenue. Both vehicles caught fire and had to be extinguished. The driver of the truck was unharmed.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office reported the three victims have not been officially identified yet, as the office is still waiting for dental records. ABC 7 identified two of the three victims as Jung Ran Min, 52, and Won Suk Rim, 57. A family member stated he is not sure of the identity of the third person killed, but that Rim and Min immigrated to the US 8 years ago and have two grown children in Korea.
