An 84-year-old driver crashed her SUV into the front of Talbots in Springfield, Illinois, on August 29, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. She told police she was pulling into a parking stop and her brakes didn’t respond; skid marks at the scene show the car quickly accelerated before the crash. The woman was not hurt, and no citations were issued.
