On August 15, 2013, a car hit a school bus on the South Side of Chicago, at St. Lawrence Avenue and Marquette Road; the bus hit a van, and six people inside the bus were injured. The bus was carrying special needs adults to a school for people with disabilities. The accident happened at 7:15 a.m.; four of the special needs passengers were injured, along with the driver, but none of their injuries were deemed very serious. The 22-year-old driver of the car, a Honda Civic, also went to the hospital, with neck and back pain. Chicago police were asking for witnesses, or video, that would reveal whether the driver of the bus or the driver of the Honda ran a red light.
