A motorcyclist was killed on Friday after being thrown from the bike after a tire blew on I-39. Police did not identify the driver, who was heading south on Interstate 39 at about 3:30 pm when the accident happened.

The driver was on a 1984 Honda Goldwing and near Wenona when the rear tire blew out. The bike overturned and ejected the driver, who was not wearing a helmet.
