If you or a loved one has sustained a herniated disk injury from an accident, contact 844 See Mike for a free consultation so we can help you recover from this experience and get fairly compensated.

A herniated disk is the result of a high-energy impact that injures the spine, such as a fall or a motor vehicle collision. This causes one or more of the disks to crack on the outside, tough cartilage part and allow the softer inner cartilage to protrude out of the disk’s perimeter.

Disk herniation is not a permanent injury. Most herniated disks can heal within a month or two as long as they are brought to the attention of a doctor soon after its occurrence. When your doctor diagnoses it early on and follows with the appropriate treatment for the type and extent of the injury, it should simply be a matter of following their instructions throughout the healing process.

However, it could lead to permanent nerve damage if it is left untreated. Herniated disks are not something to take lightly, so you should see a doctor very soon after the injury in order to prevent any further damage. The herniation puts pressure on the surrounding nerves, and when this pressure is not treated or relieved through any measures, it can severely damage the nerves in portions of the leg and/or buttocks. This can cause permanent numbness, weakness, or pain affecting the nerve’s pathway.

If another person caused your injuries, you can file a claim against them for monetary damages. Medical care for a herniated disk is not cheap, and it certainly is not cheap when it involves surgery or potential complications that you may have had to deal with. With our help, we can help you recover the costs of your medical bills, lost wages, and other damages that resulted from another person’s actions.
