A 37 year old man was killed in a head on collision that occurred in the northern suburban of Glenview on the afternoon of Sunday, September 22nd, 2013. Two other people involved in the accident were injured. When emergency crews arrived on the scene in the 1000 block of South Milwaukee Avenue at around 2.40 p.m. they found two cars with significant front end damage.

The driver of a 2001 Toyota Camry had been able to exit his vehicle unaided and was being tended to on a sidewalk for injuries that Glenview police described as non-life threatening. The driver of a 2012 Kia Soul was not so fortunate. He was trapped inside his vehicle and although rescue crews were able to remove him he later died. Police are not releasing the deceased’s name at this time.

A female passenger was also cut free of the wreckage of the Kia and her injuries were also described as non-life threatening. The crash is still under investigation.
