Covered Expenses

Covered expenses, also known as eligible expenses, are damages or losses compensated by your insurance carrier. These expenses must meet the requirements specified in your policy. With auto insurance in Illinois, liability coverage will only cover bodily injury (BI) and property damage (PD) against the other party and not yours. BI, however, may be able to cover your passengers during a traffic accident provided they aren’t part of your household.

In the State of Illinois, you may avail Physical Damage Coverage for your personal safety. While this coverage isn’t required, it will cover for your own losses in case of an auto accident and may be extended to your household members. Physical Damage is divided into collision and comprehensive coverage.
