Twelve students were unharmed after an early-morning accident involving a school bus in Hancock County near LaHarpe.

The accident happened at 7:30 am Tuesday at a railroad crossing close to Webster Road and Hancock County Road 2400N. The school bus was stopped at the crossing when it was rear-ended by a car.

The bus driver, Donna Nell, and the car driver, Travis Sanderson, were also unharmed. Sanderson was cited with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
