Two Olney residents and a man from Shelbyville were hurt Friday night after they were involved in a two-car crash. Both vehicles were driving south on Illinois 128 at approximately 9:22 pm. Illinois State Police report the automobile accident happened when the car driven by Larry Steele, 47, of Shelbyville, rear-ended the vehicle driven by Mary Ford, 62, of Olney.

Ford had a passenger, William Coleman, 55, who was also hurt. The collision caused Ford’s vehicle to overturn as it left the road. All three were wearing seat belts and were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital to receive treatment. Steele was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
