A 21-year-old man from Aurora was airlifted to a suburban Chicago hospital in serious condition after he was involved in a motorcycle accident late Saturday evening. According to Dan Ferelli, spokesman for the Aurora Police, the accident happened at 6:33 pm at Orchard Road and Jericho in Aurora on Saturday the 28th.

The 21-year-old was on a motorcycle heading south on Orchard while a Saturn SUV, driven by a Montgomery woman in her early 40’s, was in the turning lane at Orchard on Jericho. Preliminary reports of the accident show that the light was red and the SUV turned in front of the motorcycle, causing a collision.

No fatalities have been reported and there is no update on the condition of the SUV driver, although Ferelli says she was not airlifted. Ferelli added that no alcohol was involved in the accident and Orchard road was closed for approximately two-and-a-half hours.
