A recent accident on an expressway in Chicago injured fourteen people, including a small child. Four vehicles were involved, including a church van, which was struck by another van trying to change lanes—two other vehicles were hit in the aftermath. The at-fault van driver fled the scene. Ten ambulances were called in, and all outbound lanes were shut down for over an hour after the crashes. The victims were transported to different hospitals around Chicago; two were reported in critical condition.
