1 Dead in Lake Shore Drive Crash

One man was killed in a one-car accident on Lake Shore Drive in the North Side Lincoln Park neighborhood on Sunday. According to police, the accident occurred at about 11:30 pm when a car struck a light pole on the driver’s side.

The sole occupant, a 37-year-old man, was killed. His identity has not yet been released, and he was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:09 am. The southbound lanes were closed temporarily and the accident is still under investigation.
