Driver Arrested in Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Peoria

A Peoria man was killed on Sunday morning in a car-motorcycle accident and the driver who caused the accident was arrested and faces several charges.

The accident happened shortly before 1:00 am on North Knoxville. Police located 58-year-old Daniel Cantrall and a female victim. Cantrall was pronounced dead at the scene, while the female was transported to the hospital in fair condition.

According to police, Cantrall was driving the motorcycle he was riding with the female when a car crossed the center line and struck them head on. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene but a witnessed followed him, allowing police to locate and arrest the driver, Marlon Coleman.

Coleman was charged with aggravated DUI, accident with death or injury, and failure to render aid, among other charges.
