A young man remains in critical condition after he was struck by a driver in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood, on August 18, 2013. Early on Sunday morning, just before 2 a.m., a 22-year-old man was crossing East North Water Street against the light, when he was hit by a 1988 Oldsmobile, driven by Phillip Beverly. The pedestrian was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition; Beverly sustained minor injuries, and was treated at area hospital. He was cited for failure to exercise due care.
